Scam Description

I applied to a work-from-home data entry job and received a text message instructing me to download the Telegram app in order to connect with the HR manager using the link https://t.me/Name. After downloading the app and messaging him, he asked me several interview questions and told me more about the data entry position.
He told me the company would issue me a check for mobile deposit to cover my office equipment and softwares. The check was clearly photoshopped, but he insisted it was not. After stating that I would print it and take it to my bank for deposit, he told me “It is not a check to be deposited at a bank branch. It is clearly a mobile deposit check because it’s printed out on regular paper. If you are being skeptical about the job position you can as well pass on the job offer.” I told him I was disappointed and will pass on the offer. Please be careful out there!
