Scam Description
I got a text message saying there is an outstanding balance and my personal account could be frozen and to call 210-441-7894. I called and they claimed I owed for a payday loan from 2015. They also had my maiden name which I changed in 2014. I questioned them on the statute of limitations and they hung up on me. I received another text the next day saying the same as before. I called again but they didn’t answer. They called later that day and I again questioned the statute and explained I am a compliance auditor for a collection agency. The representative threatened to garnish my wages and hung up on me again. Yet they still continue to call and hang up when I answer. Its been 4 days now. The number they call from is 856-389-9869. I know this is a scam because none of the information they provide fully matches and they gave different company names such as ARS and MAC
