Scam Description
No name given of company who was the law firm or the servers company as he said he was independent. I have his voice recorded message from an unknown number. He told me to call an 833 number to get more information from the company who hired him to serve me or reschedule delivery by legal courier. Michael Bacci is what he said his name was.
Googled him can’t find one Michael Bacci, not in jail.
I called the number left on voice mail. I was transferred to Melissa the lead lawyer on my case:
She didn’t ask for money now just said they are attempting to clear debt now before it goes to my local county where I have to go to court if I don’t sign for their paperwork when served.
She said it’s not going to court yet it’s the last attempt to pay it before it does go to court. They said they sent me a letter in September I didnt respond to. I denied getting a letter and said send it again. Melissa said that’s what the server is for. I said well good luck trying to find me unless you let my husband sign I’m not in state.
I told them I’m not in state and they can serve me at a new address where I am.
Melissa said they would send it to the polk county if I didn’t sign I said I’m more than willing to cooperate and I’m am providing them information to how I can sign that I physically am incapable of signing at my home address as im not there,but if they need two forms of ID for me my husband can sign because he will be home and is waiting for them.
melissa started to threaten to send my papers to the courthouse I interrupted and said why when I was provided this number to reschedule and clearly I am doing that.
Melissa said I would have to show up with my lawyer and answer to two charges in court. I said if that’s how you want to do it but please note I did call to try to get reprocessed and provided you a new address so that’s on you.
Melissa said I would be called again to be served here where I provided the new address to be served. I said you best call before you come it’s a large building and impossible to find me if you don’t call. Please note I’m being cooperative.
Melissa had my home address when I called the number, my last 4 of social and my wrong last name. I didn’t offer this information just confirmed it. (I wish I didn’t confirm it but to get them talking it was key)
Here’s some summary information that were red flags besides the obvious stated above: She gave me the last 4 of the credit card and the bank that backed the claim and told me I was being charged with 2 Things 1- malicious intent to defraud 2-breach of legal contract. As welll as the dates I owned this card.
But the lawyer wouldn’t answer who was serving me or give me a way to contact them to reschedule or how much I owed. All things she is capable of sharing if she’s the senior lawyer on the case.
