Scam Description
I received a call from 757-636-2735 claiming to be from US Documents server and said I had legal documents needing to be delivered. They asked if I would be home tomorrow. At first I thought it was the yes scam. She advised for more information regarding the legal matter I needed to call 714-636-2735 and provided a code to give. I called and spoke with Justin Taylor who said he was the litigator for Freeman, Jacob’s, and Morgan. I had a case pending against me from Circuit City. This debt was from 18 years ago. So I told him the debt was not valid and he could not sue me. He said why not, and that I failed to respond to the collection agency. He could not provide me with collection agency info. He said I owed $3210 and if I made a payment of $1050 it would settle the debt without court. I told him I did not have it. He said I could split it up in 3 payments but needed the payment within 5 days or would have to send it over to be processed. I told him I would call back. The only personal identifying info. they had was the creditor name and my name. They never asked for anything else. He did say when I called back they would need my email to send documents. I searched the company names and phone numbers used online and found nothing. Also, when you call the number they do not disclose the company name. I believe this was a scam to get money.
