Scam Description
I was called by an entity claiming to be
“Student Advisor” regarding the student loan
forgiveness program. They said I was eligible
for loan forgiveness under the income based
driven program. I provided all my sensitive
information, my social security number, my
home address, and my birthdate. They told
me that I would be paying roughly
$200/month for the next 20 years and that
the remainder of my loans would be forgiven.
They said that for the first 5 months, I would
pay a little more, but then my rate would go
down. I was apprehensive of the call so the
guy on the phone directed me to a website
