Scam Description
I wanted to trademark a character I made, so I went through them because I didn’t know any legal jargon. They quoted me $425 that I paid in full, but this past week another “representative” got in touch with me to tell me that I needed to pay $450 more to get it “fully trademarked and copyrighted” because supposedly someone else was attempting to get a similar image copyrighted. This representative asked for my debit card information over a phone call, and that was when I realized this was a scam. I emailed them to inform them that I knew what they were up to and I wanted a full refund, and they claim that I have not paid as much as I know I did and will not be refunding it. I have a zipped folder of information, but I have turned that in to the USPTO and will attempt to go through the FBI or other legal offices for that.
