Scam Description
Found a website – https://gwynethboxerpuppies.com/ – selling Boxer puppies. Selected “Jack” (puppy still shown as available on site); cost was $900.00. Initially, asked for $300.00 to hold the puppy. As the consumer was within driving distance from the breeder, the were going to pick it up. The breeder then required the remaining $600.00 prior to pick up. Finally, the breeder told the consumer they needed to buy 3 Apple Gift Cards at $500.00 each to cover insurance (even though the consumer was going to pick up the puppy). At this point they contacted the BBB and it was determined that Gwyeth’s was most likely a fraudulent breeder.
