Scam Description
Received a phone call at work from someone saying they worked for the processing office of the county I live in currently. She asked if I was going to be home between certain hours to sign for certified mail. I refused to answer and asked for a number to call or somewhere I could pick up said mail. She gave me the 877 number I listed here. I called and the lady that answered was extremely rude and yelled at me that I had to confirm I was the person they were looking for before giving me information. She wouldn’t even let me finish a sentence. I tried to ask where I could pick up these papers I was to receive, but she hung up on me. She read me my social, my previous address, and gave my ex husbands name as my current husband. Pretty scary, but I did not confirm the information she gave.
