Scam Description
Salesperson responded to website inquiry; I thought I was on AmazonPublishing.com, but further scrutiny of expanded e-mail address showed amazondigitalpublishing.com
Project Manager, Shawn Hill, set up appointment for 11 on Monday 9/24. I was at work this day so took lunch early. When I tried to access the website from work the company server tagged the site as malicious, scam, phishing.
The project manager gave me a name of a client and boasted 14+books collaborated. I was able to contact the author and she indicated she worked with Kindle Direct Publishing on all 14 books.
I called my bank to dispute charge while it is still pending so the payment would be held.
Their e-mail signature block claimed they are working from NY, NY 112 W 34th St Floors 18&17 (which was another tip off). I checked with the leasing agent, no record of them renting space, no publishers even on those floors.
