Scam Description
Anthony Cortez identified himself as a marketing professional for business leads. Told me he specialized in reidential home solar leads and liked to work with executives in the solar field, not reps in the field. We discussed a fee of $1000 to begin marketing of these leads in a discussed territory in NJ. We spoke on the phone, text and via email multiple times leading up to payment, which was obtained by a professional platform used for invoices and online payment, honeybook.com. Contract mapping out the details was sent and signed by both of us. We were in contact till the day the marketing was suppose to start providing me clients. Then email and cell number was disconnected, with no response. My credit card company was informed of this being a scam and is also investigating.
