Scam Description
I was contacted by Tower Imaging in regards to Toner for my companies printers. I said we are not interested and they offered to send us a toner at no cost so we could see that they are better than the competition. Once i confirmed multiple times that this was free of charge, the woman sent the ink. A few months later i received a phone call asking about the toner and if we wanted to order. I stated that we had not yet used the toner and would likely continue to purchase from our local distributor. The employee then proceeded to offer me a $25 gift card and to please consider them for our next purchase. I thanked them and received the gift card. A few weeks after the gift card was received, i received an invoice for $1,000 and had 3 toner cartridges show up at my office. This was never approved or ordered. I called the company and was furious that they had done this without permission and they proceeded to tell me that the “free” cartridge was actually a part of a buy 3 get 1 free promotion. This was NEVER explained because I would have NEVER purchased from them considering it was more expensive. I made them send me a return label and sent all 4 cartridges back the same day. A few weeks later I received an invoice for $25 stating that i needed to “pay back the rebate”. After reading more negative reviews online, I decided to follow lead and keep the rebate. I sent the statement back and stated that I would not be returning this due to the head ache they have caused. Employee asked to talk to my supervisor but my supervisor agreed with my approach and did not want to speak with them.
The employee proceeded to be very rude and aggressive. This place is a scam and needs to be stopped
