Scam Description
The position was for a call center agent who would be working with a 3rd party (ECCS) for other major corporarions. The job was advertised as remote.
HR instructed me to send a resume, then fill out an application which asked for your SS#. The so called client would be the one that provided training, but the “client” required a small payment to get started. The training was on behalf go Home Depot, but I called their legal department & outsourcing team and they have never heard of this company. I even had 3 different conversations with Home Depot.
I am not getting more emails from them on other companies, but now they are saying there is another organization that they are a part of: IBO (independent Business Operation).
I am more concerned that they have my SS# and there is no good data on their company on the internet. The CEO Larry L York has a LinkedIn profile that is a bit suspect as it does not have any other company that he worked prior to ECCS. There are no tel#s as well.
