Scam Description
I received a letter in the mail on 8/12/2024. I do not have a home warranty policy with this business. The letter states “Failure to call and prevent a potential lapse in coverage could result in you being liable for all costs associated with any home repairs. However, you still may have time left to activate a warranty on your home before it’s too late. No inspection will be required. Final acceptance is subject to your ability to meet eligibility requirements.” It is signed by Wade Grant, Program Director. When I called the number at 888-404-4504, I was asked for my ID number on the letter. When I provided it I was told they had no information on that number. He asked for my last name, but when I said if he can’t find the ID number, that must mean I am not in your system, he hung up.
