Scam Description
It was an email popup through a trusted vendor, with “winning” a ***** ****** chair for the cost of S&H. Then CC was charged $19.48. When I called the number on my bank statement, I was told that I “signed up” for a monthly raffle entry, and would be charged monthly unless I cancelled. I immediately cancelled, and then asked for refund. Was told 30% would be refunded. When I threatened to report them, they said they’d refund 50%. I received a refund email confirmation (with no vendor information, except the sending email address). We’ll see if I actually get the refund in the next 2-5 days.
