Scam Description
I received a call from an agency in Florida called VMC Direct telling me I was owed money from a class action lawsuit. The mans name was Corie Alexander. They told me someone used my credit to take out a loan but because my credit was bad it didn’t go through. They said this happened to 36 other people. They told me I was owed $5695.00 and a $45,000 credit card. They would call me about 4 or 5 times a day for a week harassing me. They kept asking for my information and I would not give them anything. They said I would need to pay to get insurance to receive the funds through Western Union. They told me they had enough information to garnish my wages for up to $800 and I hung up.
