Scam Description
The website appears to sell women’s clothing. You put items you want to purchase in the “cart”just like a normal website. When you go to checkout you could use credit card or use PayPal, etc. Before you complete the transaction, you get a message saying 3% of your purchase will go towards helping Mountain people in WV or something like that. They aren’t charging you an extra 3% so you think you’re contributing to a business who also helps people. The receipt I received from PayPal then shows the “purchase” as a donation and has a different name than the actual online business name. When I didn’t receive an order confirmation with expected ship/delivery date I went to the website and selected Contact us link because no phone number is given. I sent a message with my concern about my order. I received no response and no confirmation email so I started a dispute with PayPal. They declined my dispute because it looks like I made a donation and not a purchase. After calling them and explaining, they directed me to contact my bank to dispute the charge and then said my bank will dispute with PayPal. I have followed all steps I can to recover my $, but this website looks like a legitimate Womens clothing website and I believe others will be scammed. I tried to contact them once more to say I was disputing charge and have not received any response. Versatilewomen.com is a SCAM!
