Scam Description
Details of the Scam:
1. Description of the Incident:
On June 04, 2024, I was contacted by an individual named Tom Wang from AA Freight Dispatch offering dispatch services for trucking loads. Mr. Wang presented himself as a legitimate dispatch service provider. After agreeing to the terms, I paid $225.00, which was 5% of a $4,500 load from Rockford, IL to Joplin, MO and vice versa, scheduled for June 11-13, 2024.

3. Description of the Fraudulent Activity:
After making the upfront payment, I was provided with the details of the load. Upon contacting the broker, Patrick Heinz from RXO Logistics, to confirm the load, I discovered that the load was not legitimate. Both the receiver and the shipper had no knowledge of this transaction. This led me to believe that the dispatch service and the broker were fraudulent.
