Scam Description
We received a phone call saying that a doctor wanted to buy some of our timeshare weeks because he had a medical convention, and would we be interested. I replied that we never considered doing this and I didn’t tell them that we never offered to sell any of our weeks, so it seemed strange.
A few hours later, I received this email:
We’d like to welcome you to Stoddart Business Management, thank you for joining us. We’re here to provide our service and present you with the opportunity to rent your vacation plan. Attached please find our Letter of Intent.
Our representative will be guiding you through the step-by-step process.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate in giving us a call back or if you’re interested in moving forward with the next step please sign or initial the offer and send it back at your earliest convenience.
We value your business.
After a little web search, I found your website with a similar situation and a newspaper article with a very similar offer, but the person lost a lot of money.
