Scam Description
Scammer contacted my mother an elderly woman and told her had debt to collect from credit card and she was going to be served papers the following day unless she paid $200 now with the remaining $600 over time. She told them needed to speak to her attorney and they said don’t do that because will cost you money and we can just settle it. I’m her daughter who happens to be an attorney so she provided me the contact number. They also gave her a claim number. When I called and requested information to be emailed to my work email, they said they would have to obtain it from the credit card company. They will likely get someone to fall for their scam and send them money so please put a stop to this. Thanks for your assistance.
