Scam Description
On 5/24/2024, I used google to find a passport renewal website. I accidentally picked a non-government website and did not realize this until after I submitted my personal data, but before I paid the passport renewal fee of $62. I created a support ticket for this website to ask that they delete my data. No response. I created several other tickets asking for the same thing. No response. I googled this business and found them on your BBB Scam Tracker site, as well as many other sites. All hits for this business were from unhappy customers, or would-be customers like me.
I have frozen my credit with the three credit agencies. I will be reviewing my credit reports religiously. I will sign up for credit monitoring service. What else can I do to protect myself? What can be done to protect others from this website? Sincere thanks in advance for all you do.
