Scam Description
I live in Michigan.
The scammer posed as “Aspira Womens Health” similar to the legitimate business “Aspira”. They sent me multiple invoices, by mail, threatening to send my account to collections for the amount of $295, which is the standard out of pocket amount “Aspira” charges for their screening. The paper invoice and wording, as well as the payment website, all looked suspicious. Luckily I had the real legitimate bill from “Aspira” that I had paid months ago. I logged into my online account from “Aspira” and confirmed that I do not have any outstanding balance.
