Scam Description
My daughter put a car up for sale on NextDoor. Someone called us and said he was interested in the car. He said he had a moving company coming for the car but they canceled and he said that she had to pay them before they would come pick the car up. He sent her a check for $21,900.00 with additional money to pay the moving company. The consumer took the check to the bank and they told her it would take 7 days to find out if the check was good. The consumer states something like this happened to one of her friends and it turned out to be a scam.
