Scam Description
We were charged $1698.65 on our Capital One credit card for a $7.77 taxi ride in Mexico City on Jan 21, 2024. Cap One refuses to help us because the taxi driver sped off without giving us a receipt. The charges are identified as from companies with no web existence, so there is no way for us to find them, but we have found plenty of reports of other Mexico travelers being scammed by ClipMx or PayClipMx card readers. (whatsthatcharge.com/clip-mx-…..). Please help us convince Cap One/Visa to take this charge off our account. Thank you!
