Scam Description
Myself and Husband were contacted saying that someone was trying to set up a time to summons us. When asked more information I was then given a number to call along with a case number. I was transferred to a lawyer named Leann who stated that we were behind sued for debt that was $5597, from back in 2010, and that if we did not come to a settlement that a court date would be set and we would be sued and the possibility of garnished wages and liens on our home were possible along with the outstanding balance and any fees that were applied. When we asked for proof they sent us an e document to sign that did not have any names of the law firm attached. They called again this morning, stating we will be getting summoned soon since we denied to make a settlement payment.
