Scam Description
I saw an ad on Facebook to order two ultimate icon sets for $49.98 plus free shipping. I thought it was a legitimate ad through the company Sol de Janeiro. The ads kept playing and I thought it was a black Friday special so I ordered it for my daughter for Christmas. I didn’t realize until after I paid for it that it was a different company selling it under the name manlycubic. This all seems to be an elaborate scam because there was a tracking number and customer service. They claim the item was delivered but it wasn’t. Not only was someone home at the time but I have security cameras. I don’t think anything was actually ever sent and when I went to the companies actual website, the set like the one I ordered should have cost $225. I should have done my research and want to make sure this doesn’t happen to someone else. The ads and reviews looked legitimate so I think they were stolen from the actual company. the last response I had from customer service was that they showed the package as delivered and they aren’t responsible for stolen packages. They offered me a 30 percent refund which is rediculous. I just want to be sure other people don’t lose out on funds. Any help is appreciated.
