Scam Description
‘David Roberts’ pretended to be apart of Teak Construction. He interviewed me via the Signal messaging app and after I given the job he tried to send me a large amount of money to buy a laptop, scanner, printer, and high speed internet. Once the check came and it didn’t clear right away, he wanted me to come out of pocket to pay his ‘trusted vendor’ for the equipment. After refusing to do so, he stopped responding to me all together. I saw someone else had reported this and I put it all together. So thank you to whomever first reported this.
