Scam Description
We received a mailing in the name of my deceased father’s name claiming “final notice”. It comes in an envelope eerily similar to a social security envelope with similar fonts and wording. “Signature Required” in bold letters on the envelope and “Final Notice” in bold as well. It references our bank and “immediate response requested”. The US postage PAID references Permit No. 4810. It includes a bogus looking check with a line for a signature and “Registration Fee Voucher” on this “check” on the amount of $299.00
