Scam Description
Pet Adoption Scam – FB page Labrador Retriever Puppies for Adoption – Person named Amanda Curry (Amandacurry068@gmail.com) contacted via messenger saying that she have a AKC certified lab puppy for adoption. She did a video call, seemed legit and then it was all red flags. Deposit payment via Gift card for 350$ and then an adoption agreement was sent over via email. Then a shipment company that she is affiliated with contacted via email (swiftpetshippingexpress@gmail.com) and text (9375060628) , asked for GC worth of 900$ (refundable on delivery) for pet insurance. Next, in another 2 hours asked for GC worth 2000$ (refundable on delivery) for crate rental. Finally, they did not deliver on the said date. Next day morning, get another text from Amanda that she needs the balance right away, which i rejected. Shipping company emails a vet vaccine copy and asks again 850$ for final vaccination before delivery. I reject, they said puppy goes to quarantine. I said, go ahead! Please beware of these scammers.
