Scam Description
On June 26th we got a call, The identified themself as Xfinity (we returned call to make sure) and the number had all the xfinity prompts. The offered a special running with Target. If we paid 6 months upfront using target gift cards our bill would be $90 per month instead of $180. Plus they would pay our July bill of $180 ( which they did & it showed ip in our account) which was later was removed & Xfinity charged us a bad check fee on top of additional charges over $400. The scammer called us back on July 4th wanting us to get 2 more gift cards because there was a problem with the 1st 2, I then knew we were scammed. Thry never asked gor sny personal information because they already had it all. They had name, address, xfinity account number, etc.
We reported this to police dept, Xfinity & fraud websites.
