I was contacted via text and asked to download the app ‘Signal’. This was the text:
Good Day!
I am Aaron, a Caroma Industries Limited representative. I am pleased to inform you that we have received an overwhelming response to our (Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative and Data Entry position) with over 1500 applicants. After careful review, we are delighted to offer you the role. Your resume has been approved, and we look forward to having you on the team.
This role offers a pay rate of $15.00-$25.00 per hour. They then said they would FedEx me a $10,000 check for materials. When I called the person he had an accent and was very rude and unprofessional with no additional information. He then hung up and blocked me when I said it seems like a scam, which it is.
