Scam Description
Scammers approached me using “government debt elimination “ program for seniors back on November 2022. They used a debt invalidation program on their letterhead. They got all my information including SS. They did not provide a physical address, and their web site is bogus, they insisted on using my alt phone number instead, and they kept telling me that their attorneys take about 6-9 months processing it and on and on. Two names given were: Tom Moore and Dylan Gray. They set me w a password used to identify me every time I called. They had a female voice taking my calls. They targeted my Capital one credit card and a fee of $1700. Their PO Box number on their letterhead was PO Box 953189, Lake Mary, Florida 32795
When I tried to call them back a week ago their voice mail message was: something like: “our office is closed right now. Please call between 12:00 PM and 8;00 pm Monday through Friday”. After a few calls their VM message “was full snd could not take any more phone calls”
I tried – this past Saturday, to google a Dylan Gray who appeared to be in Texas. When I asked him on the phone this past Saturday, he said he remembered me snd that he had spoken with me months ago. He gave me a contact number and he said it was “probably people that worked under him and that I was probably scammed” .
I have already reported this to the local sheriffs office and Capital one. The credit card is already investigating.
