Scam Description
I was applying for jobs on LinkedIn and they emailed me and told me to send them a resume and then take an assessment. They gave me a “company email” to log into their “employee portal.” Also, created a good looking company website. I was then offered the job and then told to create a Telegram account. They emailed me copies of “company checks” and then told me to deposit them using mobile deposit. Then they had me send money through Venmo to their “vendor.” I lost almost 2,000 dollars.
