Scam Description
April 22, 2023 6pm EST Amount = $571.24 Seller advertised concert tickets on Instagram. After agreeing to a set price of $550, we exchanged PayPal information. At this point, $550 was transferred via PayPal to the seller. After numerous texts to have the tickets transferred, they asked for a “show merch-fee” of $200 additional. Seller was reluctant to transfer tickets until the $200 dollars of additional fees were sent. At this point, we believe this activity to be very suspicious, therefore, I contacted both American Express and PayPal to stop payment as we never got what was advertised. Subsequent, seller was contacted on numerous occasions to cancel transaction, but I never got a response and was ghosted.
