Scam Description
I bought my daughter Taylor Swift tickets, the tickets have a partial obstructed view. I saw many videos on TikTok saying if you have obstructed view that you could call Ticketmaster and they would upgrade or move your seats. I googled the number, I typed into google Ticketmaster phone number. This number was the first thing that popped up. I clicked it and called. The man who answered was very eager to upgrade her seats he got my daughters email address and last 4 digits of my husbands credit card. Then told me I would need to cancel my existing tickets and he would sell me the new ones. That was a shock but then he said “do you have Apple Wallet” and I knew it was a scam. I immediately (while on the phone with him) typed in the number I had called into google. It said it was a scam. I told the man I knew he was a scammer. While I was looking up his number he was telling me that “since I didn’t have Apple Wallet I could got to Walgreens or CVS and he would wait on the phone because this had to be done right now” He was being very aggressive and even yelled at me “you’ve lost your tickets you have to do this.” Right after this happened my daughter recieved and email from Ticketmaster asking if it was her trying to enter her account. The account was trying to be accessed in California. I spent the next 23 hrs trying to get a hold of Ticketmaster. I have finally chatted with them. They do not have a working phone they do everything by email and online chats. There are so many TikToks tell Taylor Swift fans to do this.
