Scam Description
From FB Marketplace. Someone said they wanted to buy what I was selling, and asked me via FB Messenger for the address to pick it up. They asked for my phone, and texted me a “verification number” and asked me to tell them what it is so they know I’m legit. I told them. THEN, Person #1 added Person #2 to the messenger convo. Looked up both of their profiles and they were both locked down tight (‘fake’ FB profile(s)). THEN they asked for family and friends numbers, and that’s when I shut it down. Now they know my phone and my address. I’m pretty sure they don’t know my name, because my FB acct is a pseudonym. How do I find out if they have done damage? I notified my bank and changed my FB password. What do I do now?
