Scam Description
The apparently scam operation claims to be based in London, UK but is, I am sure, a Chinese company. It’s called Lensieh, and they sell shoes via U.S. websites and use U.S. companies to service their billing and customer service. The shoes they sell look great online (probably PhotoShopped), and the prices are very attractive. However, the shoes are flimsy affairs made of very thin, soft leather that offers relatively little support. Their return/refund policies are such that few customers would qualify.
I think it’s really just a method of collecting credit card and other information which can be sold to bad actors on the dark web. Since purchasing a pair of their shoes in October, I have had to change my Chase Visa card three times (even though I change my username and password each time) because of suspicious small charges not made by me. I think these are probes which, if unnoticed by either the cardholder or the issuing bank (and Chase is great at catching these), might open the door for larger charges in future.
