Scam Description
Long story short:
I wanted a puppy, contacted a breeder on facebook through a group for toy sized aussies. Paid her a total of $435, said would pay remaining $300 upon delivery of pup. Few days later, created a tracking ID for me. Tracking service said to pay $950 for pet travel insurance and ventilation cage, which I did in American Express cards because my paypal wasn’t working for some stupid reason.
A day later, the delivery/ tracking service told me to pay $1750 for a cities permit. I said I was broke. Told me I needed to pay to finish the puppy being delivered or the puppy will be quarantined for 9 months. I said I was truly broke, they said if I paid $100 they’ll be “nice” which they haven’t done before but will because they do not want to abandon the puppy. I really should have thought better but I clearly didn’t and paid another $100. But they went back on their word and said I need to pay remaining amount which at that point I dropped.
