Scam Description

The company, “MPOW” used to be a legitimate company that sold high quality headphones. I’ve bought from them in the past! I ordered over-the-ear headphones directly from the online store. I paid $43.98 for the headphones. I received a confirmation email, and order #. Within a few days of ordering, I received an email that the company was back ordered and out of the color of headphones I purchased. They provided a link to pick out a different color of headphones, but it was just a link to shop for another set. I attempted to email the company numerous times. Each time I received a kick back email that read, “Dear customer, Thanks for your email! We feel sorry for any inconvenience caused. Our website is under maintenance currently, therefore this email “support@xmpow.com” could not accept the incoming email this time. May you please contact the purchase channels and sellers directly? (Amazon order: Please contact Amazon support for warranty and solution.) Thank you for your kind understanding and cooperation.” Now, since I ordered directly from the website, www.xmpow.com, this request did not apply to me at all. I then called the company during regular business hours. When I called the number that’s provided on the website, the error message says, “We’re sorry. The number you called has been disconnected, or no longer in service. 14C.” I have tried to email and call this company, probably 10-15 times over the last 3 months. I get the same response every time, as stated above. This “company” ripped me off for $43.98. The website needs to be taken down!!!
