Scam Description
I received an email from what looked like PayPal. It included a receipt for an amount of money charged to my PayPal account. It included a phone number to call if I had any questions. I called the number because I do not have a PayPal account, but my deceased husband did. I called to cancel the account. The person I talked to stated PayPal would reimburse my bank account for the amount charged. Through Teamview, they were able to actually see my bank account that I had logged into. In the process of supposedly reimbursing my account, they put in an amount much larger than the amount the email stated had been charged to the PayPal account. This person then stated I needed to pay him back the amount they credited to my account or I could be arrested. I then hung up and logged off of my bank account.
