Scam Description
A man came to my door offering tree services for a reasonable price. He had a BBB sticker in his window. He finished the work and I paid him. The next day he showed up uninvited and tells me that another client of his had her tree fall on her house. He wanted to check to see if my tree needed to be removed.
He was adamant that my tree needed to be removed. He went from $10,000 to $5,500. I told him I would check to see if I could afford it. I messaged him the next day telling him that I did not want the tree removed. He showed up at my door anyway trying to get me to remove it.
He then starts texting me telling me I owe him for the work he did on the day he showed up uninvited. He demanded $1500. I told him absolutely not. He continously sent messages threatening to come to my home. I finally had to call the police and file a report for harassment.
I have checked and he does not have a business registered with the BBB. The sticker is a scam.
