Scam Description
Someone by the name of “Chris McCain” contacted me by email for an interview for a job that I do not recall applying for on Indeed. He used a real company, Alliance. However, I noticed that the email used by this person does not match the email format used by the real company. Also, I was recently a victim of this exact same employment scam by someone using a different name and a different company. I checked with the actual company and found out it was a scam. “Chis McCain” is using the exact M.O.
They ask you to click a link to set up a an interview for a remote job. The interview is done via chat only. Then they offer the job in order to get your personal and financial information. They will not do a phone call or a video chat.
