I applied for a remote job and was given the position of personal assistant. The initial contact was through text message. I filled out my application through their website. Then was contacted through email congratulating me that I have the position as personal assistant. Now they sent me a check for $1800 claiming $625 was for my first week of pay and the rest was for the shippers. They want me to deposit the check into my account. Which I am not doing now that I know I’m being scammed. I
