Scam Description
I was called on 9/14 by I’m assuming is AWM LLC (website host) or could have been someone from MMO LLC (name at bottom of website) to say a website they created for me has made $3,226 in commission from online sales. In order to get that commission check, they needed me to pay the past 12 mos in hosting fees (just over $29/mo) for a total of $358.80. They sent me an invoice with a link to the website where I copy login & password they provided thar would show me total sold & total commission I made. Also sent link to their ACC paperwork of who they are. I can provide screen shots as well as my email thread where I’ve tried to either get my money back or my commission check they promised I’d get once I paid the hosting fees and said they’d have my mentor call me to help me personalize my website for future sales & commission earnings. Jennifer Robert’s from AWM, after sending an email, called me to set up my mentor call for Fri 9/23 @ 3:30pm, which never took place. I’ve called, leaving messages with the answering service they have set up as well as sent emails requesting my mentor call and my commission check. When I threatened to report them to all agencies (BBB, AG of AZ & ID, FTC) they told me by email that the mentor tried calling me & that they checked their call logs. When I asked for proof of said call logs, because I told then I had proof of no such calls, that was the last I heard from Jennifer. I sent another email letting them know i reported them to the FTC they (not Jennifer as they said they told me she was out of office & could they help me….never got that email) got mad. I asked then to do the right thing & have not heard from them since. Whoever it was that emailed me last from AWM is how I found out they are just the website hosting company & don’t have anything to do with paying the commission checks, my contracted entity was, but they wouldn’t tell me who that was. Would be nice to get the commission check but at this point I just want my $358.80 back. I’m retired on limited SSN income & a disabled vet. I’ve attached only one screen shot of the bottom of the web site of my commission check. I can send email thread & other screen shots of the website by email if needed.
