Scam Description
I purchased a buzzbgone unit online. They put a shipping label on the product but was not shipped promptly. I cancelled the order before it left the warehouse but did not receive credit on my card. They finally shipped the item after a long delay. I tried the unit in my garage that was full of mosquitos and after 3 hours found only one mosquito had gone into the zapper. Determining that the unit did not perform as promised I returned the item. I had to pay postage out of my own pocket. The company policy was that my card would be credited 30-45 days after the goods were returned in perfect shape. I sent the unit insured and with a tracking number. After 60 days I had not seen a credit on my credit card so I contacted them. They answered back that I had to show proof of return. I’m sure that they were just giving me the run around and not wanting to jump through any more of their hoops, have conceded that they had stolen my money and got away with it. I promised them that I would be reporting my experience to the BBB so here I am. My advise to anyone dealing with this company is that they don’t get scammed like me. Don’t buy a BuzzBGone mosquito zapper.
