Scam Description
I picked up on this being a scam when I heard of similar stories. I was emailed about an interview, asked to download a secure messenger, and was soon offered a job. I was then sent a check for $2400 to purchase company equipment, and told to Zelle the funds to a merchant. That set off the red flag that this was definitely a scam.
