Scam Description
this person approached me via email saying they had found my cv and profile and thought i was a perfect fit for a creative design position. they said it would be 50 an hour after the full text based interview process, and that i needed to start at the end of the week. so i quit my job after they sent me a w-4 and a employee contract and told me i was in. to check the person was valid i looked them up and they are listed as an employee at rust-oleum on linkedin. how ever when i checked the name of the person who signed the contract . her bio on linked in sais she is not hiring creative freelancers do not give personal info to anyone asking. but by this time the person had sent me a check to deposit to buy equipment. which he wanted me to use my phone to do instead of the bank. so i tried but it didnt work. so i went to the bank anyway and the bank told me it was a fraudulent check. so i got back home and looked up the ip address of person so see if i could find any info that matched the profile picture on skpe. and the housing and surrounding people in the area didnt match so i knew he was a fraud pretty much.
