Scam Description
Mr Johnson Albert acting as an agent for Grant Watch told me I qualified for a $30000 grant to replace my furnace and windows in my house. I would have to pay $3000 for various fees using Steam gift cards which I was not aware was illegal. After paying over $2800 Mr Albert told me my grant was increased to $60000 and I would pay $6000 but would be given credit for the $2800 I had paid. As of yesterday, I paid Mr Albert over $7000 and he told me I needed to pay another $200 processing fee before the funds would be deposited into my checking account. When I informed him I didn’t have any more money he said I would firfeit the funds he had received through Steam; ebay; Apple gift cards and $700 in bitcoins. He also informed me that nothing can be done to him because he hadn’t done anything illegal. I am a 70 year old retiree and I don’t have anymore money. My furnace has to be replaced and it’s going to be getting cold soon. My gas and other utilities are being turned off; my car is about to be repossessed and all my bills are passed due. I need help to resolve this matter and recover what funds I can.
