Scam Description
Contacted my Aunt via a facebook post and began to romance her. She tried to send him $17,000 in cash through the mail. Luckily we found out and contacted the Tennesee Police who intercepted the package and returned it. He is promising to marry her but is currently serving with Doctor’s without borders. He states that he needs the money for his “Consignment Luggages” whatever that is. I believe she is suspicious now but continues to try to communicate with him. We have a durable power of attorney for her and she is disabled and cannot drive therefore we now have to watch over her like a hawk. At one point she was using Cash App and from what we can tell, she successfully sent about $3,000 dollars. Her bank tried to get her to realize that it was a scam and they froze her accounts. They eventually kicked her out of the bank because she would not believe them. We have setup new accounts at a different bank and set spending/withdrawl limits.
