Scam Description

For the past two doctor visits to the same provider, as soon as I was exiting my doctor’s office room, I received a text to my personal cell phone number requesting for me to review my prescription orders. The first time, I assumed it was legit and something new with their Athena charting program, so I clicked on the link. It then asked me to verify my date of birth. I did enter it. It brought up my actual prescriptions that were just filled electronically and offered me to sign up for a prescription discount program. I backed out of the website then. I asked my doctor’s office and pharmacy what it was, and both had no knowledge of it. I have been to other doctors between these appointments, and have not gotten these type texts. Also, when I had asked the front desk at the medical office it happened at, they said that a few people had asked the same already, and that they had no idea what it was. This scam is affecting many more evidently.
