PNC chief customer officer, Karen Larrimer, joins Highmark board … – The Business Journals

Highmark Inc. has elected Karen Larrimer to its board for a three-year term, the downtown Pittsburgh-based health insurance giant announced on Wednesday.
Larrimer, who has been executive vice president and chief customer officer at PNC Financial Services Group Inc. since 2014, plans to retire from the Pittsburgh-based bank at year-end. She had stepped down as head of retail banking in June after four years in the post.
During her long career at PNC, she has also served as chief marketing officer and executive vice president for business banking.
Active in the community, Larrimer is a board member and past chair of United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania. She is president of the board for the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh and a trustee of Robert Morris University.
Larrimer’s appointment replaces a vacancy that opened with the recent resignation of Dr. Mary Simmonds, following a two-year term, Highmark said.
